Thursday afternoon, Chelan Fire District 1 held a special commissioners meeting to examine the construction bid offered and steps moving forward with the future Station 10 project. By the end of the meeting, the commissioners took Chief Brian Brett’s recommendation to accept the bid from the lowest bidder, T.W. Clark Construction. The bid was $5,278,000.
“The next steps moving forward for Fire Station 10 is it to notify T.W. Clark that the commissioners have just approved awarding them the bid,” said Chief Brett. “We need to select an architect to work with next week in the construction administration phase of the project and move forward as quickly as construction will allow.”
Fire Station 10 will be downtown, next to Prospector Pies.
