VIDEO: The hills in and around the Wenatchee Valley are not only treacherous to navigate when they’re snow-covered and slick, but they can also be downright dangerous. That’s what one motorist who was trying to climb the westbound slope on Orondo Avenue found out today when his car suddenly caught fire. The vehicle’s owner Pedro Delgadillo told iFIBER ONE News, “I have no idea, it was just making noise and I was thinking it was maybe one of the tires but it wasn’t.” Emergency crews from Chelan County Fire District 1 quickly responded to the incident and doused the flames, which ironically enough did help melt a path with more traction for subsequent drivers.
