An 83-year-old Port Angeles man who was driving a minivan that was hit by a semi-truck last week remained in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center on Monday, a hospital spokeswoman said. Timothy K. Nobuhara was listed in critical condition after the Friday morning wreck on U.S. Highway 101 and Monroe Road east of Port Angeles. He was upgraded to serious after having surgery at the Seattle hospital Saturday. He remained in serious condition in the intensive care unit Monday. “He’s improving,” Harborview spokeswoman Susan Gregg said. The State Patrol said Nobuhara was making a left turn from Monroe Road onto Highway 101 when his minivan was struck by a semi-truck and 53-foot trailer driven by Michael J.A. Wilson, 36, of Vancouver, Wash.
