Flames burned through a homeless camp in a heavily wooded area of Kent Wednesday morning -- just one of several disturbances Kent neighbors are dealing with. Neighbors say they have been complaining about campers in those woods for years. Several people said they see people walking along the tracks heading in and out of the woods. Firefighters were called to the 1000 block of 1st Ave. N. after flames erupted in a group of trees adjacent to some train tracks, according to Puget Sound Fire officials. A billowing smoke column was visible from nearby SR-167. The fire was intentionally set, according to officials. Police are now searching for a person of interest.
