Firefighters with Pasco spent the day on the Water 2 Wine boat Tuesday afternoon going over safety procedures. They went over proper steps to take in an emergency whether that's someone having a medical issue or a fire on the boat. This is the first time the department has teamed up with the company. "It gives us the ability to know what's happening on, what's to be expected," said Ben Shearer with Pasco Fire. "To get familiar with how their equipment works and let them get familiar with how we work, what our rules are." Shearer and other firefighters tied up to the dinner boat to explain how they would perform in certain situations. "Then we can best mitigate that emergency out on the river if we're the ones that happen to respond to it."
