Franklin County firefighters brought in multiple resources to help battle an RV fire that spread to trailers and brush. Minutes before 1:30 p.m., Franklin County Fire District #3 worked to put out a fire on Melody Lane near Road 68 and Deseret Drive. Black smoke could be seen from as far as Kennewick. When they arrived, an RV was engulfed in flames. The fire hopped over to some flatbed trailers nearby. Brush also caught fire, but crews were able to put it out before it spread. The cause is under investigation. No one was injured. The RV and one trailer are a total loss. Agencies from Pasco and Walla Walla Fire District #5 were called to help battle the flames.
