The Southeast Thurston Fire Authority responded to a fire on Quail Meadows Court Tuesday, putting out the blaze after dogs were rescued from the home.
The City of Yelm posted the following on Facebook shortly after the fire was extinguished
“ Not only did the firefighters and our beloved Yelm Police Officer Don Moody rescue these pups from the burning home, Bernadette Pellegrino and other paramedics provided the highest level of care to help the dogs recover from smoke inhalation,” the city wrote. “Please join us in thanking to all our public safety professionals who care for our homes, families, and our four legged friends.”
