PHOTO: Investigators are working to determine the cause of a Wednesday morning fire that destroyed an old barn on the city’s Stormwater Wetland property west of Haller Park.
Arlington firefighting crews responding at about 7:30 a.m. arrived to find the barn and adjacent structures fully engulfed.
The blaze was extinguished quickly by crews from Arlington Fire, North County Fire & EMS, Snohomish County Fire District 21-Rural Arlington and Snohomish County Fire District 22-Getchell.
The Snohomish County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause. The buildings did not have access to power.
Meantime, the Eagle Trail and off-leash dog park are closed while crews extinguish hot spots and remove the collapsed and damaged buildings, city spokeswoman Kristin Banfield said.
