VIDEO: In just one week, thousands of firefighters from across the world will climb the Columbia Tower in Seattle for a great cause. But on Sunday, firefighters from Spokane County Fire District 9 settled for a StairMaster at the Fred Meyer off North Division instead.
The stairclimb team -- made up of 16 firefighters -- asked for donations for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society while switching off on the stair climber. Each firefighter climbed 69 floors in full gear, which is exactly what they'll be doing in one week.
The firefighters at District 9 say if they can play a part in raising money for research to find a cure, they'll do anything to help.
