VIDEO: Four people including one elderly resident managed to escape a fire that burned a home in Shoreline early Friday morning.
The fire broke out just before 1 a.m. in the garage of a home in the 17500 block of 8th Ave. NW, according to Michelle Pidduck with Shoreline Fire.
One of the elderly residents inside the home was confined to a wheelchair, but still managed to escape, Pidduck said. By the time firefighters arrived, the flames had spread from the garage to the home's attic.
No one was injured, Pidduck said.
The Red Cross is working with the four people who are now displaced. Investigators are still looking into what started the fire.
