A woman was seriously injured in an apartment fire in the Martha Lake area east of Lynnwood Thursday night. According to South County Fire spokeswoman Leslie Hynes, a neighbor called 911 at 7:06 p.m. to report a fire in an apartment at the Millwood Estates in the 16600 block of 6th Ave. W. in unincorporated Lynnwood. Smoke was coming from a second-floor apartment in a three-story building when crews from South County Fire arrived. The injured woman exited the apartment prior to their arrival. She was transported by medic unit to Harborview Medical Center. The injured woman was the only one home in the apartment when the fire broke out. There were no other injuries.
