PHOTO: A fire in Soap Lake completely destroyed an apartment building and left at least one person with serious burns. The fire reportedly broke out in the north building at the Lake Apartments on Daisy Street about 4:30 a.m. Sunday, according to Grant County Fire District No. 7. Grant County Fire District No. 13 and the Ephrata Fire Department provided mutual aid, but the north building was completely destroyed in the blaze. At least one person sustained burns in the fire and required medical treatment. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The American Red Cross responded to the scene to help with temporary housing assistance for north building residents who were impacted by the fire.
