Fire season has started and one area in Washington state is already getting hit with a wildfire. Firefighters are working to put out a wildfire near Oroville in northern Washington. The Okanogan County Emergency Management Team released a Level 1 Advisory to residents. The fire is close to Abie Lane, about 10 miles south of Oroville. No evacuation order has been put into effect. The Department of Natural Resources and local fire departments are working to put out the fire. DNR is also utilizing helicopters to contain the fire. It's unknown how it started or how many acres have been burned. The advisory warns residents to be aware of their surroundings and take action, if needed.
