Yakima firefighters will be at the grain mill fire until late Tuesday morning working to make sure the fire is completely out. Around 9 p.m., firefighters responded to the four-story building near Second and Liberty avenues. Residents say the mill used to be owned by Bleyhl Farm Service. According to Yakima County District #5 Deputy Chief Ken Shipman, massive flames could be seen from the bottom floor. The top of the building is all wood, making it extremely flammable. Shipman said the mill is a total loss. No one was inside or injured. There's a metal building on the side used for storage, but it's not known who currently owns it. There was a couple forklifts and grain inside the small building. The cause is under investigation. Shipman said they'll most likely be monitoring the building for several days. At least six surrounding fire agencies came to assist.
