Fire fighters from Benton County Fire District 1 say they did not find anyone inside a recreational vehicle that burst into flames Saturday morning; however, they did find the remains of a cat. The fire started at 7:45 a.m. in an RV at 203106 E. Bowles Road. Neighbors called 911 after seeing smoke and flames billowing from the RV. Some witnesses tried to gain access into the RV to see if anyone was inside, but the intense heat prevented them from helping. The fire destroyed one RV and damaged the exterior of a neighboring RV before fire fighters could extinguish the flames. During an inspection, fire fighters found the remains of a cat inside the RV but no sign of a person. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
