Spokane Fire Department responded to a fire behind a house on the 2500 block of North Sycamore Street early Sunday morning. The fire reportedly started in a large shop behind a row of homes, though billowed out after fire crews arrived. The initial fire spread to two nearby cars and had separated an electrical line. The flames were also moving toward another house and garage. Stored propane tanks and flammable liquids began catching fire and exploding inside the garage. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the shop and the two cars, saving the nearby home and garage. There were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Department’s Investigation Unit.
