A 2-alarm fire has caused significant damage to an abandoned building in Lynnwood Tuesday morning. The fire started sometime just before 2 a.m. in the 18100 block of Highway 99, according to Leslie Hynes with South (Snohomish) County Fire. Photos from the scene showed large flames flowing from the roof of the building as firefighters from nearby Everett and Mukilteo were called in to help battle the blaze. The fire was brought under control just before 4 a.m., Hynes said. No one was injured. Investigators are still looking into what started the fire but police did receive witness reports that some people were spotted running from the scene as the flames spread.
