A big fire continues to burn on Konnowac Pass. Firefighters say the fire is now at more than 1,000 acres at 75 percent containment. Officials at the Northwest interagency coordination center say 49 firefighters are on the scene of the fire that started at about 3:40 Monday afternoon. The fire threatened homes and forced evacuations on Monday night but no homes were burned and no injuries were reported. Fire officials say the hope to have the fire fully contained by Thursday. The Konnowac Pass fire is one of three large fires burning in Washington State today.
