A home in a rural area near Tiger Mountain was destroyed by fire Thursday, officials said.
Crews responded to the scene, in the 25300 block of SE 135th Street, off Issaquah-Hobart Road SE, at about 11 a.m. after receiving reports of smoke and 30-foot flames erupting from the residence.
The home was fully ablaze when firefighters arrived, but all the residents had safely evacuated without injury, said Battalion Chief Dana Schutter of Eastside Fire and Rescue.
There are no fire hydrants in the area so crews used water tenders to battle the flames.
The home is considered a total loss, Schutter said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
