VIDEO: It's been a while in the making, and the new fire station for Benton County District #4 is taking shape at its address at 8031 Keene Road in West Richland, 99353.

The groundbreaking was held last November after voters approved a bond for the new station and apparatus in 2018. The Port of Kennewick made it possible for the Fire District to purchase the land at a reduced price.
Benton County Fire District #4 began as an all-volunteer department in 1954. As the West Richland community continues to grow, the department now has paid and part-time personnel, as well. (16 career staff and 35 volunteers)
Benton County Fire District #4 handles structure fires, wildland fires, emergency medical calls, vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents, and water rescues.
