A lint-clogged dryer is being blamed for a blaze that burned a North Seattle townhome Sunday night, leaving a family of three without a place to stay for a while. Flames were spotted pouring out of the third floor of the unit along the 14300 block of Midvale Ave. North just after 11 p.m., according to Seattle Fire. Firefighters were able to quickly douse the blaze, and no one was injured. The Red Cross says it is helping provide temporary shelter to the two adults and one child who lived inside. Investigators later ruled the fire's cause as accidental, triggered by dryer lint that ignited from the heat. "SAFETY TIP: remember to clean lint from the dryer," Seattle Fire Tweeted, "and keep lint vents clear." Damage is estimated at $190,000.
