A heartbroken family in Washington State is sharing a warning after three unrelated deaths from from fentanyl-related overdoses occurred in one day.
The deaths occurred within two miles of the other, an alarming trend in King County, local public health officials said.
Officials said the fentanyl was found in counterfeit Percocet and oxycodone pills.
Kraz Lee Adrian, 26, was one of those deaths, and his family is still trying to come to grips with his passing.
K.C. Wheaton was the last person to see Adrian alive last Thursday morning.
“He loved his family, he loved his grandma, he loves his mom, he’s a good big brother,” Wheaton said. “That was really hard on everybody to have to watch him get carried out.”
