Multiple semis are destroyed after a massive blaze broke out at the Harms Pacific Transport property in north Franklin County.
Firefighters responded to the fire at 3220 North Glade Rd. shortly before 10:00 p.m. Saturday. Arriving crews found semis on fire.
Franklin County Fire District #3 upgraded to a second alarm, requesting more water tender trucks and manpower from fire agencies across the Tri-Cities.
In total, officials say seven semi trucks were destroyed. Two tankers attached to them were threatened, but thankfully were not damaged.
Firefighters say the damage is close to a $1 million loss. The cause is under investigation.
According to the company’s website, they transport liquid chemicals as well as dry and liquid fertilizers.
No hazardous material was stored or released from the semis, fire officials said.
