The Kittitas County Fire Marshal implemented a burn ban in different fire district zones around Kittitas County for fire safety, according to county officials.
Kittitas County says it implements a burn ban when the fire danger reaches a critical level.
They say the burn ban will go into effect Saturday, July 11, at 12 a.m.
Zone 1- Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue in Ellensburg, and Fire District 4 in Vantage:
No outdoor burning, no campfires, no burning of solid fuel.
Campfires are allowed in Vantage only, maximum size 2 feet x 3 feet
Zone 2- Fire District 1 in Thorp:
No outdoor burning, no campfires, no burning of solid fuel.
Zone 3- Fire District 3 in Easton, Fire District 6 in Ronald and Fire District 7 in Cle Elum area:
No outdoor burning, no campfires, no burning of solid fuel.
Zone 4- Fire District 8 and Fire District 51 in Snoqualmie Pass and the surrounding area:
Outdoor burning including campfires is allowed until further notice.
