Six people were injured -- four of them critically -- as people jumped from the third story to escape flames burning through their building in Seattle early Monday morning.
911 dispatchers received multiple calls for the fire that broke out in the 2400 block of Aurora Ave. North just before 5 a.m., according to Seattle Fire. Firefighters and medics arrived to find some people had been burned and others injured from jumping from the third story to escape the flames, according to Hilton Almond with Seattle Fire. "I just heard a rumbling and I turned around and somebody must have opened the door because the fire started shooting around the corners that's when I opened the window and jumped out the (back) window," said Issac, who managed to escape the flames.
