Level 2 evacuations are still in place for the Colockum Fire, which has now burned 3,337 acres in Chelan County near Malaga. The fire is currently 80-percent contained. The fire is burning at Kingsbury Road and Colockum Road, according to Chelan County Emergency Management. It sparked shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday and is threatening homes in the area. Level 2 evacuations are in place for Colockum, Kinsbury and Jump Off roads, where 60 structures are threatened. This means residents must be ready to leave at a moment’s notice. Tarpiscan Road has been downgraded back to a Level 1. State fire assistance was mobilized on Saturday, but several crews have been relieved from the fire fight since.
