Kennewick police and firefighters responded to a fire at Clearwater Bay Apartments just before 11 p.m. Thursday night. Police say heavy smoke and flames were seen coming from the balcony of a second story apartment unit. People from multiple units were evacuated. One person suffered injuries including smoke inhalation and minor burns. Crews are still investigating the cause of the fire.
