A fast moving brush fire developed Thursday afternoon in the 2700 block of Number Two Canyon Road above the Gun Club and spread slowly to about 50 acres to the top of the ridge with Number One Canyon. The area near the fire in #2 Canyon is on a LEVEL 1 advisory for residents 1 mile up canyon and 1 mile down canyon of Gun Club. No. 2 Canyon Road in Wenatchee has been closed because of an ongoing wildfire. The road is open only to local traffic. Local traffic includes property owners and people living in that area. The public is asked to stay away from the area at this time so emergency services can work. Deputy Chief Andy Davidson with Chelan County Fire District 1 said the fire prompted a third alarm response with crews from Chelan County 7, 8, Douglas #2, Bureau of Land Management, Dept. of Natural Resources and U.S. Forest Service.
