A fully engulfed motorhome parked on the side of the road on State Route 10, 7 miles west of Ellensburg, started a brush fire Sunday around 2:30 pm. Trooper John Bryant said the fire burned some surrounding brush and trees, but fortunately a fire station was pretty close to the area. “The motorhome had been parked there a couple weeks. I don’t know if people that were there were living out of it or what. The Fire Marshal is investigating it at this time to see what the actual cause was,” Bryant added. No one was in the 35-foot motorhome at the time and there were no injuries. The road was fully blocked for about half an hour.
