A family of seven lost their home in a fire early Saturday. No one was injured in the fire in the Eastmont neighborhood in unincorporated Everett, according to South County Fire. A resident reported the fire around 8:50 a.m. at a two-story house on Del Campo Drive. “No one was in the home at the time,” said Leslie Hynes, South County Fire public information officer. “The residents were visiting relatives at a home across the street when they spotted smoke coming from their own home and called 911.” The house was already engulfed in flames when the first crew arrived. More than 25 firefighters from South County Fire and Everett Fire Department responded. Heavy fire conditions made it unsafe for firefighters to enter the house, so they attacked the fire from outside. It took about 50 minutes to get the fire under control.
