VIDEO: More than a dozen inmates busted through a fire door and jumped a tall fence to make a daring escape from Yakima County Jail Monday evening, and several of them are still on the loose. It was around 7 p.m. when the 14 inmates in an annex grabbed a table and broke open an exterior fire door, according the Yakima Police Department. Video from a nearby witness shows a chaotic scene of inmates climbing a fence and sprinting across a nearby intersection in scattered directions as police and corrections officers attempted to give chase. Firefighters at a nearby station managed to notice and tackle one of the inmates, holding him until officers could arrive. Officers were able to capture seven others inmates and get them back into custody.
