More than half of fraternities and sororities on the University of Washington's Greek Row now have reported at least one case of COVID-19 since a surge of cases began in September, the university reports. Of the 45 Greek houses tracked by the UW, 23 have reported one or more confirmed cases, which includes 15 sororities and eight fraternities. The total number of positive cases on Greek Row has now grown to 372 since Sept. 10. At the same time, the number of confirmed cases across all three UW campuses has also increased to 859, with the vast majority of cases concentrated at the university's main Seattle campus. That total includes 753 students, 91 staff members and 15 faculty members infected since the pandemic began last March. Forty-six of those cases have come in the past 10 days, as the pandemic has surged nationwide.
