VIDEO: A 2-alarm fire destroyed a Tukwila apartment building Wednesday morning just hours after firefighters had been there dousing an earlier blaze. Firefighters were originally called to the Foster Creek Apartments on Macadam Road South around 6 p.m. after a fire started in a balcony and spread into its main unit, according to Jay Wittwer with Tukwila Fire. The fire was put out a short time later and after a few hours of mopping up and investigative work, firefighters left the scene. But a new call for help came in around 11:45 p.m. as fire reappeared in the roof. "Went into my house... I started smelling smoke and came back outside and saw the roof was completely engulfed in flames," said Chris Henry. "So I knocked on my neighbors doors to make sure that everybody got out and then basically watching my apartment and surrounding apartments burn." Firefighters returned to now find flames burning the entire roof of the three-story building.
