Snohomish County firefighters battled a fulling involved house fire at the 9200 block of Woods Creek Road in Monroe Saturday morning. Multiple fire agencies responded to the residential structure fire just after 11 a.m. Saturday. Fire crews say the home was tucked deep in the woods with limited access and no nearby fire hydrants. Fire crews were able to contain the fire from spreading to the surrounding trees and bushes. Reduced winds, cooler temperatures, and higher humidity helped firefighters extinguish the flame and keep it from spreading. Firefighters say one man was in the house but he was able to get out with no injuries. The fire destroyed the home.
