As people in Seattle are trapped inside their homes because of dangerous air quality, some families in Eastern and Central Washington are still trying to escape the biggest wildfire burning in our state—the Cold Springs/ Pearl Hill Wildfire. One Lynnwood couple was camping and got an alert to leave now—and it was mayhem from there. What started as a camping trip for Jordan Lemon and his girlfriend Salena Sok at Sun Lakes in Eastern Washington, end up a daunting and dangerous escaped from the Cold Springs Wildfire that is still raging. “We have never been so scared in our life,” said Jordan Lemon. “Like for us, I refer to that road as the road to hell because that’s where our trip took a turn.” Jordan and his Salena joined the chaos of families abandoning their camps and escaping for their lives after they received a “Go Now” alert on their phone.
