The Snoqualmie Fire Department recently recognized several firefighters for their contributions to our community at their annual awards dinner, held online due to COVID-19.
Both a career and a volunteer firefighter are honored each year for their expertise and proficiency in fire and/or Emergency Medical Services (EMS) protocols, skills, and conduct.
In addition, the Bud King Award is given to an EMT or firefighter who goes above and beyond their community service, project participation, and time commitment duties. These awards are voted on by all department members. In addition, the department honors years of service.
Interim Fire Chief Mike Bailey said, “Although we value and appreciate all of the members of our organization and the service they provide to our community, these individuals deserve special recognition for their contributions to the department in 2020. Unfortunately, we were not able celebrate in person with our larger fire families, but it is important to recognize their efforts and contributions to the City of Snoqualmie.”
