The Vancouver Fire Department has partnered with local, state and federal health agencies to support COVID-19 vaccination efforts through group home vaccination clinics and medical oversight at the Tower Mall community vaccination site (5403 E. Mill Plain Blvd.). “Over the last year, our firefighters have seen firsthand how this virus spread like wildfire into our community,” said Vancouver Fire Chief Brennan Blue. “Vancouver Fire’s participation in local vaccine efforts is a small way we can participate in the massive efforts of doctors, nurses and local health professionals who have put it all on the line to care for the influx of COVID patients and protect our community.” To date, the Fire Department has administered hundreds of vaccines at two group home clinics assigned by the Washington State Department of Health and will continue to participate in clinics as requested.
