On Thursday afternoon a semi-truck crashed into a school bus sending three people to the hospital. It happened on the corner of Lateral C Road and Progressive Road in Wapato shortly after 3:00 p.m. The bus driver was taken to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital to be treated for injuries. Two kids on the bus were also taken to the hospital, but their injuries appear to minor. Yakima County sheriff's deputies and fire fighters were on the scene for about three hours. Both the truck and the bus had to be towed away.
