“Renton Regional Fire Authority will comply with Governor Inslee’s Proclamation 21-14, requiring all firefighter EMTs to be fully vaccinated by October 18, 2021. We understand that this issue is complex and highly personal. However, it is my duty as Fire Chief to ensure that Renton RFA is not only upholding the law but ensuring the safety of our members and the community that trusts us with their health. We are currently in the process of reviewing exemption requests and will make every effort to provide reasonable accommodations for those who qualify. Our goal is to retain all of our firefighters while upholding the law and ensuring the health and safety of our community and organization.”
