VIDEO: Josh Powell killed himself and his two young sons in an explosion at his home Feb. 5, 2012, more than two years after Powell's wife Susan vanished under suspicious circumstances. The explosion shook the normally quiet cul-de-sac neighborhood where Powell had been living just moments after a caseworker had brought his two young sons, Charles, 7, and Braden, 5, there for a supervised visit. Firefighters rushed to the scene after receiving multiple frantic 911 calls, where they found two young victims and an adult male victim. All were found in the same room in the middle of the house, said Ed Troyer, who was the Pierce County sheriff's spokesman at the time. Powell's wife Susan disappeared in December 2009 under suspicious circumstances while the couple was living in Utah. He eventually lost custody of his two sons.
