An afternoon fire in Bellingham’s Columbia neighborhood led to a woman’s death Tuesday. Fire crews were called at 2pm to the 3000 block of Victor Street after multiple callers reported seeing flames and smoke coming from the home's lower level windows. Firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the back side of the house. After extinguishing the flames, fire crews found a woman's body. Investigators believe a daisy chain of electrical plugs caused the fire.
