Crews fighting the Burbank Fire in Yakima County say it has grown overnight to an estimated size of 12,000 acres.
As of Monday morning the Southeast Washington Interagency Incident Management Team says the fire is 10% contained.
On Sunday crews believed they may have gotten the fire to 50% containment, but say that after fire growth and better mapping overnight, they now know it is only 10% contained.
Currently, 19 fire engines, 3 crews, 2 dozers, and 4 tenders are actively fighting the fire. Crews say they are able to call in air resources today if needed. Crews say the fire crossed I-82 in an area west of the Fred G Redmon Memorial Bridge late Sunday night.
The fire is burning about 8 miles NW of Yakima.
