Tacoma firefighters say at least one person was transported to the hospital after a bus involved in a collision crashed into someone’s yard.
Firefighters responded to the collision, which involved a Pierce County Transit bus and a pickup truck Monday evening in the area of South 37th Street and South Thompson Avenue.
A spokesperson with Tacoma Fire says four people were examined by medics, one person was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
It is unknown at this time if the person sent to the hospital was on the bus or in the truck. According to the Tacoma Police Department, investigators are still working to determine what led up to the collision, but the bus swerved to avoid hitting the pickup truck.
