Mayor Matt Larson has appointed Snoqualmie Fire Chief Mark Correira as the interim city administrator for Snoqualmie. The city council confirmed the appointment unanimously on March 8, 2021. He will serve in place of Rick Rudometkin who has resigned to relocate.
“It has been a true pleasure working with Rick,” said Mayor Larson. “He jumped in during a severe snowstorm and flooding followed by a global pandemic. Through it all, he provided steady guidance and support to staff through a very transitionary time. We will miss him but wish his family good health and well-being in their new location."
Beginning March 15 and for a period of at least three months, Chief Correira will oversee the management of city departments, working with department directors for sound and effective operations. His service will occur during the city’s recruitment of a permanent city administrator.
