One person was injured in an early morning fire that severely damaged a commercial building in Olympia. Crews responded to the scene, at 221 East Bay Drive NE, at about 1:30 a.m. Friday after a police officer on patrol spotted smoke and flames coming from a business there, officials said. Video from the scene showed large flames shooting from storage bins near the building. Firefighters say the fire appeared to begin in or near the containers and spread into the main building. Streets are blocked off in the area for the firefight. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
