Firefighters extinguished a house fire in Gig Harbor on Monday morning. The fire appeared to significantly damage the home and one occupant was transported to the hospital. The fire occurred at a home on 87th Street, according to a tweet from Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One. Three people were evacuated from the home, one of whom was hospitalized. The extent of their injuries is unclear. The fire was out at 11:30 a.m. when fire crews tweeted about the incident, but crews were still on the scene extinguishing hot spots.
