Crews battled a large commercial fire for hours that destroyed several businesses in Lynnwood overnight.
There was also a significant power outage caused by the fire, according to Lynnwood police.
The fire in the 19100 block of Highway 99 broke out before midnight Monday. The businesses that caught fire include Speedy Signs, an auto glass shop and Shannon Towing.
Twelve residents were displaced from the nearby Lynn Ree Apartments. While the apartments did not burn in the fire, some units have heavy smoke damage.
The fire was across the street from a Costco Business Center and down the street from the James Village shopping center.
Highway 99 was closed in both directions between 188th and 196th streets, but the northbound lanes have reopened and all but one southbound lane was open by 5:30 a.m.
