Olympia Fire Department had multiple streets closed as they worked a structure fire Saturday afternoon The fire was at a residence building near 7th Ave SE and Jefferson street SE. According to the fire department, working to extinguish the fire was an extended operation. According to the Olympia Fire Department PIO, this was a "defensive fire." Several streets near the fire scene were closed so crews had room to work. The fire department said that all occupants are accounted for. It is unknown how many units were affected.
