VIDEO/PHOTOS: Eastside Fire & Rescue crews responded to a large house fire in the 3500 block of 207th Avenue Southeast in Sammamish Sunday afternoon.
The Redmond and Bellevue fire departments also assisted in the response.
EF&R first tweeted about the fire just after 1:30 p.m. As of 2 p.m., firefighters were fighting the flames defensively. When crews first got there, the entire roof was on fire.
Everyone who was in the home was able to get out safely, EF&R said.
But unfortunately, most of the house was a total loss. Only some bricks and boards are still standing in part of the home.
Fire crews said there were a couple of things about the home that made the fire tough to fight.
“It’s at the bottom of a driveway, so hydrants are limited and that caused some challenges,” said Jordan Simmonds, Battalion Chief of Eastside Fire and Rescue.
