Crews were able to quickly contain a wildfire that broke out late Monday morning at Camp Williams. According to the Utah National Guard, the blaze broke out downrange at approximately 11 a.m. Danger to any surrounding structures was low at the time. Crews with the Eagle Mountain Fire Department and United Fire Authority responded to battle the flames. By 1 p.m., the fire had burned about seven acres with just a few active flames. Blackhawk helicopters equipped with 600-gallon buckets were on standby in case the fire spread. No word on the cause of the fire.
